Brian, why did Microsoft, in its infinite wisdom, replace the drop-down
old file, edit, view, tools, etc., menu bar with the what I consider, to
be the evil ribbon system? All it seems to do is add layers that hides
what used to be so much more easily accessed, at least by screen
readers. I get lost in the damn layers, not knowing where I am or how
to get out. Yes, I know the shortcut keys are still there, but as I
said previously, I'm a menu person, not a shortcut person.
Consequently, I'll use any program that doesn't yet make use of the
ribbons, such as Jart or NotePad for texting, and Thunderbird for email.
By the time ribbons take over the world, hopefully, I'll be able just to
say what I want done, and it will be so.
