Hi Philip,

Try the following, if you haven't already:
1. Open the Settings Center in either of these 2 ways.
A. Press, Insert / Jaws Key + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard.
B. Press, Insert / Jaws Key + F2, to open the, Jaws Manager, arrow down,
Settings Center, & press enter.
With the Settings Center open press, control, shift , + D, to open the
Settings Center Default All Applications.
3. Go down to,, Miscellaneous, & right arrow to open. It's #21 of 22.
4. Arrow down to, Use Virtual Cursor, & make sure this is checked. If it's
not checked, press the spacebar to check it.
5. If you make any changes tab to, Apply, press the spacebar, tab to, Okay,
press the spacebar to save your changes & close the Settings Center.

Subject: jaws keeps turning off the virtual pc cursor

Hi.

I am experiencing a recurring problem with Jaws 17.0.1377. This problem also
occurred with earlier versions of Jaws 17 and 16.

Many times, for some reason, when I open up Internet Explorer, and even
other applications where the virtual pc cursor is normally automatically
turned on, jaws turns off the virtual pc cursor.

Even if I forcibly turn it back on using the Jaws key+z, and then I open a
new web page, jaws once again turns the virtual pc cursor off.

I have checked both within settings center manager under the internet
explorer configuration, and within quick settings while in internet
explorer, and in both cases, the use virtual pc cursor is checked, even
under personal settings.

The only way I have found to fix the problem is to do a jaws repair.

Any help on solving this problem most welcome.

Phil
