Thanks Jim. That works if I want to pin a program. However if I am trying to pin a web site, I don't get the pin to tashbar option.
What I've done as a compromise is, after putting a link on the desktop, I set up a hot key to invoke it. It isn't exactly what I intended but it gets the job done. Thanks for all your suggestions.
