JAWS does not handle comments in MS Word all that well, especially
in Word 2007 and later (though I have not tried version 2013).
I also don't use Braille; however, for what it is worth, I can
sort of get by with comments if:
1. I ensure the document is in "draft" mode. To do this, press
F-6 until JAWS says "Status Bar." Then, use the right arrow until
you hear "draft." Press space bar if it is not already checked.
Then, use F-6 to get back into the document.
2. To get a list of comments in the document, press control plus
shift plus semicolon. This lets you scroll down through a kind of
dialog box that lists comments. To go to any particular comment
to discover its context, click OK (just to the right of the
comment in the dialog box).
Now, if you get inside a comment, you can get out by hitting
ESCAPE (provided you are in DRAFT mode). If you are not in DRAFT
mode, you might as well exit word. There is no way to get out of
the comment.
I realize the above is articulated in terms of speech, and not
Braille. That's the best I can do. I have no idea how a Braille
display works.

Jason,

I have never attempted to view a comment using my braille display,
though I suspect that what you describe is indeed the case. Jaws
functionality with MS word in all aspects of review and edits and
comments is spotty and requires some patience to accomplish.

I do quite a bit of editing with Word so if there is anything I
can do to help, feel free to contact me privately.
