I use EdSharp for much of my programming. It is built for that sort of thing. I do not think it has been updated in quite a while, but it still works great for me on Windows 7.

I think it is downloaded for free from The Empowerment Zone. You can easily find it on Google.

Hello all,

What text editors do you recommend for their accessibility and features? I’m planning to edit text files, HTML, JavaScript, probably other programming languages, LaTeX, XML and so on.

I’ve used Emacs frequently under Linux, as well as Vi/Vim, but I’m unfamiliar with the text editor options under MS-Windows.

Whatever I choose needs to be well supported by JAWS, naturally enough (or I wouldn’t be asking on this list).

Suggestions appreciated.
