I thought that attachments were scrubbed on this list, but several
have been coming through lately. What is happening??

Russell

Re reading your email I am at a slight disadvantage, I currently still use
JFW15. If you get no satisfaction on the list you may want to try
ThunderBird
for a time. I am like you and prefer outlook whatever flavor.
Your original description was good. Are you having similar problems when
reading a received email?
We should ask if there are any JFW sixteeners out there with suggestions.

Hi Jeff,

Should I also choose to compose messages in plain text rather than HTML? I
am
trying it with this message, but, as soon as I press CTRL plus left arrow to

read the word I just typed, Jaws goes silent. I turned off auto correct as
you
suggested, and anything else I thought might cause issues, but still am
having
problems with Jaws going silent when navigating in a message I am composing.

Any other settings I might change?

Thanks,

Russell

If it were me, I would change some of the options for word.
Turn off auto correct and things such as this and you will likely have a
more pleasant experience.

Subject: Alternate email program

Hi everyone,

I have been fighting with my new Yoga Pro 2 laptop trying to get Outlook
2013 to work properly with Jaws 16. The issue I have is if I make a spelling
mistake, or just wish to read an email I am composing word by word using
CTRL + right or left arrow, speech will quit on me and the only way to get
it back is to alt tab away from the email message and back to it, or press
the alt key. I haven't been able to contact FS about this issue yet, as I
work and by the time I get home tech support is closed. I've thought of
sending in an email, but, as you can probably tell, it's a bit difficult to
explain exactly what's going on in an email message. Besides, I don't have
that much faith in FS tech support.

So, my question is, what other email programs work well with Jaws 16? Does
Thunderbird work with Jaws?

Thanks,

Russell

Thanks Gera! My preference would be to fix Outlook 2013, but, if I am not
able
to do this, I may try Thunderbird.

Take care,

Russell

Aside from sometimes having to do Jaws+Insert to refresh the EMail, when
Jaws
thinks it's the previous one, ThunderBird also works great for me too! Good
luck!
