yeh. i find that it pronounces everything better than the other synths
they have tried to come out with.

One of the Eloquence voices? I like female voices overall, but can't
use the Eloquence voices for anything Important, because of what I
call the Marge Simpson effect. As for Bobby, I just want to slap him
upside the head, and never use him for anything! I've seen maybe
three screenreaders with children's voices, and they're all obnoxious.

It didn't work for me. I was going nuts with a female voice that
mispronounced a lot of words and made it very difficult to edit. I
couldn't make it use different ppitches for lc and upper case
letters. I tried everything and had a lot of feedback from this list
but nothing worked. I guess we just had different experiences.

It did work in JAWS 15 because I use it regularly. I have been using
JAWS since 1998 and I can't remember when that feature didn't work.
I still use JAWS 16 on a limited basis because I am waiting for some
bugs to be worked out. I think it will be great in the next release.

Thanks. My grandson set it up for me. In Jaws 15 I couldn't get the
voice I wanted and hearing the pitch difference between caps and LC
letters didn't exist. It's a lot easier writing now.

JAWS has had those features for several versions now. I would guess
they were not set up in the past or were changed. I am glad they are
working for your grandson now.

I don't know if this applies to anyone else, but my grandson just
installed jaws 16 on my windows 7 machine last night. He was able to
get the "reid"
voice back. An added bonus was all of a sudden the pitch for capital
letters is higher than lower case letters! Don't ask me why these
wonderful advantages suddenly appeared, but they did. Judith
