Actually, I think it does. When I've given my license number over the phone to 
tech support, they reflexively comment that I must have been a long-time 
customer. Don't just look at the last two digits, but also how many digits are 
in the number.

i don't think that has anything to do with it. the last 2 numbers of 
mine are 22 and i started with 3.5
