Here's another way to get to Taskbar Properties. Press Windows Key T for
Taskbar. Then Press Alt Enter for Properties. This is for users of Windows
7, but give it a try in Windows 8. Don't have Windows 8, so can't test it.

1. Right-click an empty area on the taskbar, and then click Properties.
2. Under Notification area, click Customize.
(if using speech, Press Applications Key and arrow down to Customize)
3. Select the Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar check
box, and then click OK.
