Sounds like you may have inadvertently enabled navigation keys. Navigation
keys in Word is a feature similar to the virtual cursor in HTML
environments. In fact, the keystroke to turn this feature on and off is the
same as the command to toggle the virtual cursor: JAWS key plus z. See if
that works.

Subject: weird editing problem in word 2010

Dear list,

I am using the latest build of jaws 16 and am having a problem that I cannot
figure out in Ms word 2010. When I open a document, doesn't matter if it's a
new one or one I'm opening from before, I cannot edit it. When I try to type
or do anything jaws will say things like this key is not available in ms
word or there are no graphics in this document. I found if I hit f-10 to go
into the menus and then exit out again it fixes the problem temporarily.
Once I alt tab out of the document and back in I have to do this again. No
clue what setting I changed. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks
