Hi, Carolyn. Is your Virtual Ribbon turned off? Perhaps the reason it won't
take the E is because virtual ribbons are turned on, or checked under the
Quick Settings menu.

To turn off permanently the protected files, go to files (alt-f), then
options (t). There is a huuuuuuuge dialog with protected files either in
their own category or under trust center, I don't remember which. Within
that dialog somewhere, though.

This is how I undo protected view in Word 2010, on a
document-by-document basis. Making the setting permanent would put your
computer's security at risk.

Hi folks! I've been dealing with this issue for quite a while now, and
cannot seem to get any relief. I'm having trouble with JAWS and
Outlook 2013, particularly after I have been using it for a couple of
hours.
JAWS will start to perform very sluggishly, and even sometimes, I get a
message saying that Outlook is not responding. It's really annoying.
Most of the time, I end up restarting my machine. Does anyone else
have this problem?
How have you addressed it?
