I'm not sure about the first question, though I think it would be a nice
feature if it would say the task bar.
Sure, you can send, recieve E-Mail, download, etc all at the same time.
You could even download many files at once. Sending a e-mail will not halt
your download.

I think it should because not everything shows up in the task bar. is this

also, I am downloading a file right now, at the time of writing this
message. if I send a email message whilst ms-explorer is downloading, will
this halt the download?
