Thanks for your response regarding my DecTalk PC
problem. Unfortunately, I have already tried that strategy with McAfee
anti virus but it didn't work. If McAfee is installed on the system, it
gives me the "Windows Protection Error" message on boot up. The
interesting thing is that this all worked fine with McAfee version 3.1.6 but
when I upgraded to 3.1.8, the problems began. Presently, I have moved up
to version 4.0 and the trouble still persists.

I did run Norton Anti Virus program along with Juno, this let to many General Protection errors and finally locked up the system. It took a lot of work to remove both Juno and NAV from the system.

I only let NAV run automatically when down loading anything from the Internet. So both at work and at home I only run the Anti Virus programs manually!!! I don’t recommend letting the Anti Virus run automatically, that is it is not in the auto exec statement. This has solved all of these problems and I can check a disk or program before installing or opening with the NAV.

My suspicions are that the guys from Micron are closest with their suggestion that this might be related to a conventional memory conflict. I would sure appreciate any help anyone could give me with this problem so I could once again use my DecTalk PC synthesizers.
