I just wanted to give you all some more
details.
My video card is an STB card. I think the number
is 4400. Dr. Jaws was able to set the colors to 2566. The install reports that
this card passes all tests. I have used STB video cards on other gateway systems
but under win95.
Right now my settings for the card are 640x480
256 colors. I also tried 800x600 256 colors.
I think I have active desktop turned off, the
view as web page is *not* checked.
I am looking for more ideas. If you need any
other information I will try to get it for you. This is a great list. Lots of
good discussion.
