This setting makes messages in ICQ pop up.
Under preferences
Check the checkbox named Pop-up response dialog, in the events tab. You
can also try "Jump to incoming event in the list" though I'm not exactly
sure what this one does. Make sure the "Play Sounds" box is checked while
you're there.
To get to ICQ preferences,
1. Control-Shift-A to open ICQ
2. Tab until you are on the ICQ button.
3. Pressing enter here will not get you the menu so: Route pc to JAWS and
left-click to get the ICQ menu. Then choose preferences.
You now can use the JAWS cursor to find and click the events tab. You must
do this because control-tab does not work in the usual way with ICQ.
Once there I recommend using the JAWS cursor to find and click the first
checkbox you want to change. At this point you can now use the tab key to
cycle through the other controls in this box. At the end you still may
have to use the JAWS cursor to get to an OK box. Isn't ICQ fun?
