dennis not sure where you are going, of course it is in the menus, because it
works in 9 x enviroment.
you see jfw for 98 and n t are 90 percent the same, and hj reduces ccaust by
shipping both on the same disk.
in fact it is the same program except for the libraries if i understand it.
with that said all synths in 9 x must be in the menus even if they do not work
in n t.
by the way i also wish hj would expand the list to include more external
synths.
currently hj does not even support inflection with the accent s a at this time.
the spirit does emulate the accent s a, plus from time to time artic has sold
notetakers that also support the accent for 500 dollars.
i have to admit artic sure has changed from the business that used to charge
for each copy of the screen reader, by that i mean it was based on the p c and
not the user.
so ever p c you used you had to buy a seperate copy.
the fact r c and artic can reduce their cost to a fraction tells me that others
can do it.
companies like dec talk and keynote, their hardware is no more expensive than
artics.
what seperates then is the speech algorithems.
well keynote is selling those for 250 in their software version, and dec is
selling them for 150 dollars.
so the cost should be no more than 600 dollars.
well their i go, being side tracked, my real reason for writeing is to see what
you are saying, have you or a friend used double talk with jfw in the n t
enviroment?
i think hj see the day when a lot of people useing n t as the same time frame
when synths are all software.
personally hardware is superior
and still should be around for awhile.
though it will be a smaller role.
ever try to use software speech in safe mode.
or with control plus alt plus delete menu?
