I am trying to use omnipage pro better than I can now. I have had some sighted
assistance to figure some things out thus far.
here is what I have so far.
1. when in MS word, you tell omnipage to aquire text. when doing this here is
the explanation of what happens:
a. word calls omnipage to get text.
b. omnipage calls the HP software to get the image from the scanner.
c. the image is scanned hy the HP driver and returned to the HP software.
d. the hp software exports this to OmniPage.
e. Omnipage then performs the OCR proccess on the image and then exports it
to a word file format.
f. ms word imports this file to the current file.
2. the process seems to take less time when initiated in the OmniPage program.
have you ever tried to scan several pages from word?
3. most of the Omnipage program seems to work rather well from the menus.
is there any way to get Omnipage to work correctly when looking at your scaned
document? any way to get the proofreader to work better?
