The following is for JAWS 3.0083 but I suspect it is pretty much the same for
Version 3.2:
To adjust the voice for uppercase characters:
Press INSERT+J to open the JAWS window.
Press ALT+V to opoen the voices menu
Choose Uppercase from the Voices menu.
The dialog opens in the Increment Setting edit field.
Type a number in the edit field.
A higher number produces a higher pitch.
Your synthesizer determines the highest number possible.
You can turn this feature off with a setting of zero.
Press ENTER again to save your changes and close the dialog.
Press ESCAPE to close the dialog without making any changes.
To adjust the voice for Jaws cursor:
Press INSERT+J to open the JAWS window.
Press ALT+V to opoen the voices menu
Choose JAWS cursor from the Voices menu.
You should have the following scroll bars accesible via the tab key in this
dialog box:
Volume
Rate
Pitch
Higher numbers produced a higher pitched voice and lower numbers produce a
lower pitch.
Use the arrow keys to change the settings. Use PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN to change
the settings by large increments.
Press ENTER to save your changes and close the dialog.
Press ESCAPE to close the dialog without making any changes.
If you want to change the person or puncuation:
Tab to the Person or Puncuation combo box.
Press ALT+DOWN ARROW to open the combo box.
Use the arrow keys to browse through the list and select an available option.
Press ENTER to choose a selected option and close the list box.
Press ENTER again to save your changes and close the dialog.
Press ESCAPE to close the dialog without making any changes.
