I didn't catch your name but I thought I would throw my two cents on
this one. I also bought both a destination gateway computer and a dell
demention xpsr 350 system and had trouble with both, unfortunately. I
echo your points with the gateway in the way it's mother boards are
constructed. In order to get what you want, you have to spend extra,
because you can't send back what is already integrated. i sent that big
hunk of metal back, Just in time.
with the Dell, I had to replace the stbn invidia for a matrox millennium
g200. This card works really well, unlike the other one that made my
computer crash, no matter what I did to it! I almost went ahead and
bought a matrox marvol g200 PCI Card, but I much preferred a AGP video
card. I was going to get it for 250 dollars but I decided not to Reich
it, with jaws working and all. It would have been nice to get a card
which included a tuner and crazy connections for a steriod VCR and Cam
Corder. It came with video editing software too. Nothing I would
obviously use directly, but I know that I could of used this for one of
my Greek competition presentations for my Fraternity. Anyway,
eventually, I'll cell the one I have for the Marvol as soon as I can get
an AGP. If anyone is ever interested, I'll sell it for a reasonable
price. I probably won't get around to it until Spring Break.
Obviously, It would have to work well with jaws beore I made it final.
Don't write back on it until I"m ready to cell.
Oh yeah, this card works well, with magic but best see if H.J. can
garentee that. most of these Matrox card, work well with Hj's products,
but it's best to be sure.
