The forwarded message below is a snare. I do not know this Renee, and she
or he has written a message designed to prompt a reply from me to him or
her. Once I reply to this message, they can capture my email address and
use my name and email server to harass others in my name, causing me to get
a lot of grief from other list subscribers. It is a pernicious practical
joke, which can reek havoc.
The easiest way to deal with such a message, since I do not know this
lperson is to delete the message and never reply. They got your or my name
off a list serve most likely, since they really like to hassle a lot of
folks instead of one or two.
I have learned from practical experience that these pranksters not only
exist, but they are looking for the gullible lister like me, since I did
bite such a hook once. It may happen again, but I hope not. BTW it is
probably not even Renee who is sending the message.
I just thought you might like to know.
If you can't trust the source or the individual never respond. For new
listers it pays to follow the list serve for a while before sending messages
to such a person. We just have to learn to spot the snares and delete.
