that's because you're downloading from an ftp site.  Actually, most
websites support resuming downloading, with programs like getright and
gozila.  I've noticed that internet explorer also does this too.  However,
if the web site is running some old software, you will not be able to
resume your downloads if they are interrupted, and you will also get the
(unknown) thing that pops up during a download, also because of this
reason.
