HI,
I wanted to give you some feed back about this and offer probably what I see
as being the best solution for the fact files. I have never been there and
from what I understand, they are in Eudora format. Personally, I would
prefer it in Outlook express format, whatever that is, but since there are
so many users using different kinds of e-mail clients, I think the best
thing to do is just have them available on the home page to read from there.
For those on the go whom would like to have these files downloaded, an
alternative is basically or simply, giving them instructions as to how to
get them in text format. So, either at the main page where all these links
would be held or at the top of each fact file or page, you can say something
to the effect of:
For users who want to save in text format, press alt + f for file, and a for
save ass. At the save as dialog box, tab to the files of type control and
with the arrow keys you may select either html or text format.
Another alternative is telling them to copy and paste these files onto an
editor like notepad or MS word.
At the page they are reading they can press control + the letter A followed
by control plus c. This sequence will highlight everything on the page and
copy it to the clipboard. By bringing up an editor, they can paste the file
with control + V. and save the file in the desired format under the
special folder they created.
