Dennis, I agree that using the SayFocusedWindow function is probably your best bet.  
I've never used an application that changes control IDs each time the app is loaded.  
I was wondering if the control IDs are always numbered in the same order.  Maybe you 
could get the control ID of the first control and base your location on the relative 
distance from the first control?
