I am not sure how much of this may apply to your situation, but here's
what experience I have had with JFW and telnetting:
If you are using telnet that comes with win95, a lot of times the
window containing your current session is not maximized, so you can not
see the entire screen (sometimes width wise, sometimes horizontle wise).
Attempting to maximize the window like you normally would (using alt
spacebar and simelar methods) does not seem to make the window in question
bigger (according to sighted assistance) and finally someone had to use
the mouse to resize the window by dragging it's border. This of course is
not an option - Maybe there is a way to maximize the window, but I have
not discovered it yet, and just use another telnet product (we have
TCP3270 as part of the university I attend which works fine). The telnet
program which comes with Windows NT has never given me the above problem.
Another thing, is that if you are using eloquence as well as jaws in
say all mode (so that text is read allowed as it appears on the terminal)
jaws tends to skip over chunks of the text as the screen fills up. For
example, if I fill the screen with text, such as a message coming up in
pine, portions of the text being read are missed; skipped over. I am not
sure but this could be what your client is experiencing. Simelar to my
window sizing problem above, I do not use say all mode in telnet enough
for this to be a problem, but I suspect turning off the "reading
interrupt" setting in Jaws would solve this problem.
