I'll try to explain the history of the ReplyTo Author script. Before HJ
released 3.20 Ken Gould posted a set of Eudora scripts for Eudora and JFW
3.0 to the mailing list home page. Eudora then released a update, 3.05 I
believe and Ken said he was working on updated scripts.
Three of us novice script writers were working on the ReplyToAuthor at the
same time. We got a script that worked on most systems. Ken included it
when he posted his updated scripts on Nick's list. He probably has
regretted that decision. People with faster computers began having some
problems with this one script. I made some changes to the timing of the
script and posted them
People on the list asked HJ to include some of the scripts that were on
Nick's list with the release of JFW 3.2 so they would not have to
continually reinstall them. HJ included Ken's Eudora scripts. I assume at
the request of Eudora users on this list. Of the many scripts in the
eudora.jss file I believe only one has not proved dependable.
I have worked on the correction of the timing problem and another bug in
the script. The corrected script and instructions for inserting it into
the eudora.jss file has been posted to this list no less than 3 times. I
have helped anyone who had problems getting the script inserted. The feed
back has been positive. I realize new people are joining the list all the
time and am willing to help any and all of them. However, I get riled when
the same person starts a thread complaining every couple of weeks and does
nothing to help himself.
I'll be again posting the corrected script with insertion instructions
tomorrow.
