It sounds like your problem might actually be your display settings.
Does eloquence read half of every line in every application? or is it just
some times in specific programs.
I've never heard of a sound card just reading part of a line, but stranger
things have happened with eloquence.
Eloquence seems to be possessed by a strange demon anyway.
