carol, in my opinion keynote is way less buggy when compared to access 32.
i do remember you said you had trouble with keynote before, first did you
realize that in the last year they have had 2 upgrades for bug problems.
go to www.pulsedata.co.nz
for the down load to upgrade.
the new version is january 1, 1999 if i remember right.
also be sure that when you are in the configuration manager to check hear wave
files.
that can help with the stuttering problem with software synths.
rememberr after getting into the configuration manager to use the default
settings
control plus shift plus letter d keystroke
that should bring up defaults.
go to settings
then go to synth
tab over and you will see it.

p s if you are using win 98 on the notebook look for a bios upgrade for the
notebook.
you see the notebook community as a whole had a lot of problems with win 98.
most notebooks had bios revisions to help solve the problem.
