The program is ProComm Plus for Windows version 4.7.  I had to make the
config files that are used with this program.  Yes, I do have a backup of
these files.  I will try to copy them over and see if it makes any
difference.  Yes, my computer has locked a few times while using this
program.  It seems to be the worst of all my programs.
