hi, listers! This is a cyber illiterate, and begs pardon for any silly and
foolish questions in advance. Yesterday i was playing with
'favorite-folder', in the main menue of internetexplorer 4.01. I picked up
the choice 'organize your favorites' or something like that. There was a
list-view in this dialogue box. From this list-view, I selected 'channels'.
This selection led me to another list-box, and I entered on 'New york
Times'. Somewhere here, There was a dialogue-box, I am not sure about
what, but probably something regarding screen-saver, and I had to choose
from yes and no. I don't know what I chose from here, but now, every
now-and-then, a prompt comes up either for New york times or screen saving,,
no matter what program I am in, and whether I'm on the internet or not.
When this happens, I hit tab, some times it works and other times it
doesn't, I mean hitting tab takes me to the program I want to be in, or I am
already in. Some times it happens whille reading something, a newspaper,
for instance, jaws says, http://www.nytimes.com/channel/screensaver.html.
At this moment, either I hit the spacebar, or tab to get rid off it, but
then I lose my reading trac, which is very ennoying! Another problem that
developed with this, is that, jaws does not speak the keys. Nothing happens
when I hit the windows-key/start-key, insert-t for title, insert-tab to
switch application and so on. it, however, speaks few key-storkes such as,
spacebar caps lock, number keys and so forth. Any remedy?
Step-by-step-instructions in plain, simple and lay-man English will be
highly and sincerely appreciated.

Thanks! Best regards,
