You can export it to either text or html, then load it into word and save it
as a word document.
It seems some people are having problems with the Accessibility module for
Acrobat Reader, so even if you can't get that puppy to work, you can still
export the pdf file to text, and all screen readers read the Acrobat's File
menu just fine (Alt+F). If, (for some reason,) the prompt asking for which
pdf file you want opened doesn't read well, you can always just select the
desired pdf document from the Run... command, and if that filetype is
associated with the Acrobat reader, it will launch the reader, with that
file loaded. Selecting the File menu, then Export to Text selection, then
the Accessibility module's accessibility isn't that much of an issue.
Granted, the hypertext links and other bells and whistles aren't there when
exporting it to text, but at least it will give the main meat and potatoes
of the pdf file in question.
