I use jfw3.2031 and Outlook Express OE as my browser for email.
When I get a file attachment to a message and save it with the control+s
command, it ask me what I want to save the file as, or in other words what
do you wisht to name this file. Let's say I call this file something.
Using the control+s command will definitely save the file, but my question
is where?
Using the mycomputer program, I cannot find the file on my c drive, even
though the find program definitely says there is a file named something
somewhere.
Where still remains a mystery to me.
If I save an attached file by doing two things, I always know where it is
located.
First,if I use the save as... command, then press enter, an edit field pops
up at which point I can type in the blank field the pathname. If the field
is not blank, I can delete all the characters on it, read the line again
with insert+uparrow or read line and it will say blank. Second,then I write
the path name of the file I am saving like this:
c:\mydocuments\something.doc
Then using mycomputer program I can find the file I have saved with the name
of something in the file or folder called mydocuments on my c: drive.
My question still mystifies me. Where is the file located in my computer
when I use the save command control+s?
It has to be some where, but where?
