cool edit pro

Hey gang.
Have any of you ever worked with cool edit pro?  I'm looking for some hints
on editing and all that stuff.  Recording and playing appears to be easy,
but editing and affects is a pain in the but.  Also, selecting tracks
doesn't appear that clear.  Any info would be appreciated.
