In the details you can see the name of some DLL? If yes, the name would be
OSM16.dll?
When I installed Netscape here, I got a general protection fault every time
I tried to run Netscape.
My screen resolution was set to true color 24 bits. I change it to 265
colors and the error disappeared.

I'm getting the same messages for Visual Studio, etc. as I posted on the
list with regard to netscape and hotmail. The first error message, with
the ignore button, comes from the program I'm trying to run. Whether I
click ignore or close, it's followed by the dreaded illegal operation
message. The details of that are that the program has caused a generalm
protection fault. This appears at this point to be a conflict with the
general configuration of these programs on my system; however, I cannot
really be sure why JFW and these programs don't get along on my Dell.
