Good morning listers.
I have finally moved up to a very fast machine and, more to the point, to
98. Although I have unchecked the active desktop, set screen colors and
resolution to my satisfaction, there remain numerous anamolies that make
this new operating system awkward for me, doubtless due to my lack of
having made some critical settings. Bill Cameron, Sidney Ordway and others
have been good enough to post guidelines for those of us neophytes with 98
but, alas, I failed to keep these messages. If anyone is around who might
have one of these setup guide lists, or has one of their own, I would be
very grateful in getting it. I am going back in to university to my office
to tackle this problem once again but, without this help, feel a bit like
I'm wandering around in the dark, so-to-speak. I am running a 450MHZ
machine with Eloquence and an external accent synthesizer on com2, running
128 megs of memory. Thanks much folks for any advice, particularly lists
of things to do and not to do.
