Hi,
I am having some kind of jaws problem reading floppy discs. I am using a
Toshiba 4005 CDS notebook and when I got the computer, it read discs fine.
Now this is what's happening and I have had considerable help with this but
can't seem to straighten it out. When I put a disc in, I go to my computer
and the a drive, then I tab to the list box. When I arrow down, it will
not read the names of the files on the disc but it recognizes that there
the correct number of files on the disc. Sometimes, it will read part of a
name or random names but generally speaking, it will not read the list of
names. I am sure the cursor is moving down. If I use the jaws cursor, it
will read the names or if I route jaws to pc it will read them. I have my
icons lined up and have no other problem with the cursor except in the a
drive. Also, when I'm arrowing down, sometimes, the drive will start to
run like it is opening the files as I'm arrowing down. The one disc I
tried had the jaws jls files but it seemed like the drive was trying to
open the jaws files as I was arrowing down so i'll try a disc with no jaws
files to see if it does that. Any ideas? I am using win98.
