Hi,
I am having what I think is a jaws problem with floppy discs. I can save
things to disc with no problem. When I put a floppy in that has several
files on it, I go to my computer and open my a drive. It will tell me how
many files are on the disc, but when I tab to the list box, it will not
read the names as I'm arrowing down. It will read parts of random names
and I am sure the cursor is moving down the list because I arrow down and
then tab back over to the list and it will read part of a different name.
Sometimes, it will just say one letter of the filename. Also, sometimes
when I am arrowing down, the drive will start to activate as if it is
opening the file that the cursor is on. The disc I used had the eloq.jls
files on it but I'll try a disc with no jaws files on it. Any ideas of how
to fix this. I am using a Toshiba CDS 4005 notebook with win98 and it was
reading discs previously so I'm not sure what happened. My icons are lined
up and I don't have trouble with the arrow keys in any other application.
Also, when I play the same disc on another computer, it reads correctly. I
have all the proper settings for jaws and win98 to work correctly and an
experienced person has tried to fix it by phone and we went through all the
settings to make sure something did not get changed.
