I think we can safely assume that I'm just lucky, and it might have been any number of
things that
just worked out for me finally. I found the Hj scripts to be a little slower, and so i
moved back to
the ones on the mailing list page.
I still don't know for sure if it was changing to 256 collors, or if it was that in
combination with my
Matrox card or just what, but finally, after much hardship, I can read the tree view
and determine whether an
item is checked........
or not checked..........
Doesn't it just remind you of descriptions of Judgement day?
