Greetings.
A friend forwarded this to a friend and then to me.
The LPWindows enlarging software is very versatile and super easy to use
with hardly any time required to learn it. Also it has an amazing gliding
feature that makes panning especially easy. Since I believe that JAWS which
is excellent software is very useful to persons who also use enlarging
software, I thought I would post this as the post does describe some aspects
of the LPWindows enlarging software.
The LPWindows software does not kill the hands by using awkward hand
motions in panning or reading across the line. The "sweet spot" where the
words land for the viewer lands exactly where you want to place it--rather
then where the program would place it (often too high or too low) and does
the right thing consistently. Also the panning feature starts moving at the
speed you select and you can change it with one finger--rather than starting
off "too slowly" then "too quickly" or moving in a "stop and start" manner.
JAWS is marvelous. I am sending the comments (below) because LPWindows
software is a fine alternative and has such ease of use and is so practical
that others might want to see it. It works in any color or resolution
setting.I have head it works with the Matrox cards but one would want to
make sure. It certainly works with about every other viedo card including
the S3 Trio which I use and works very well.
if any one has any questions about LPWindows, they can write me. (I do
not work for the Adaptive people who released the information; I forwarded
on what some one sent to me).
I have used LPWindows various demos and their upgrades (which, by the
way, are true upgrades and not "bug fixes"). It can be hard to find really
good software so I hope this is of help to those concerned.
