well you missed the best feature, that it comes with a restore disk, well here
is another compaque solution.
it does not have fire wire and may cost
a little more, but one has say so as to exactly what they want.
like all compaques it has a restore disk also.

well it seems that every place a person looks that they can not buy that
perfect p c, well this one is as good as it gets for jfw users.

the compaque pro signia
matrox 200 g with 16 meg

400 pentium 2

creative labs live value

either net card if desired, is included in price

p c i modem
this win modem is the one weekness of this system.
for 60 more one can get a non win modem that is i s a slot

they do not carry the only non win p c i modem from u s robotics, now 3 com
the 5690

includes small business edition of office 97

it also has a restore cd rom disk with all that stuff on the disk.
so reinstalling everything includeing office is a breeze.

dvd

10 gig 7200 r p m drive

64 meg of memory
price is 1640 with p c i modem

this does not include monitor or speakers.

here are some reasons it is better than competition.

del while they ship a sound card equal to this, they do not always have the
video card of choice plus the
worse part of the del inexpensive systems is that they only have
two, five and a quarter inch drive bayhs.

this one has 3.

of course one warning before buying, this p c is so loaded that one may want to
ask if a scsi card can be installed in it.
if the answer is no then you will need a u s b scanner.
