I have a Gateway 233 mHz with 64 mb RAM.
I am using JFW 3.2 with the Eloquence speech engine.
I was told I could install a Sound Blaster Live board, so I can use Real
Audio and Eloquence text-to-speech at the same time.
1. Is this true? With the Live board, could I listen to Real Audio, and
have access to my Eloquence for speech output at the same time?
2. Does anyone know if the SB Live board will work in the computer I
listed above?
3. When I install the SB Live board, how do I disable the sound board that
came with the computer?
4. How much is the SB Live board? I was under the impression it was
around $200, but I talked to Office Depot, and they have the SB Live board
for $99. Are there different versions of the SB Live board?
I would appreciate hearing good and bad experiences with the Sound Blaster
Live board.
