Hi. I am using a Gateway 2000 with 32 megs of ram. It's a Pentium II 266. I
am using the Sound blaster Live value card. I am using the 256-bit version.
The price you quoted from Office Depot sounds about right for the 128-bit
version. There is a more expensive version that is bundled with other
software, but this additional software doesn't work well with JFW. You will
be able to run Eloquence and other sounds at the same time. Some people
have had problems with Eloquence. It sometimes stutters. This can be solved
by getting the updated drivers for the SB Live card. You can disable your
current sound card under the device manager under system in the control
panel. When you install the new card, your machine will automatically
detect its presence in the machine if you have plug and play installed.
