I posted this message a few days back, but, for some reason, it did not
appear to make it to the list--or atleast to the digest version, of which I
am a subscriber. So I am posting it again. If a redundancy occurred, my
apologies.
I am using JFW 32 and Eloquence with the most recently updated patch along
with Windows 98 on a Toshiba Satellite 335 Laptop with a Yamaha sound card.
Recently, when I tried to access the CD Player, I lost speech and sound
entirely. After rebooting, I tried to play with the volume control on the
Taskbar using sighted assistance (this included unchecking the mute button
and putting the volume on the highest number). This process did not improve
anything and I presently don't have speech.
If anyone has ideas, please feel free to contact me personally.
