Hi Patrick,
Actually, the problem is that I am trying to help this person create a new
filter. The choices on the action boxes are not read on her machine!
If she tries to open the combo box, she hears "context menu but when she
moves with the arrow keys there is no speech output on the choices.

Hi Amy,
The Action fields are a little confusing, I agree. It ends up being a simple
process, but the explanation always seems to get complicated. So, Here goes!
First you have a set of radio buttons, which will say "Action: Transfer
to New
Mailbox," "Action: Transfer to Existing Mailbox" and "Action: Delete". (I
think
that's how they go, anyway.) The other fields change according to which of
these three radio buttons you choose (just use the arrow keys to pick the
right
one.)
If you leave it on "New Mailbox", then the next Tab over from the radio
buttons
will land you on "Action: JFW-list" (or whatever Eudora has decided the new
mailbox will be called). I don't think you can change it.
Tabbing again puts you on "Action: In". Pressing ENTER will let you go in
and
create mailboxes, but this isn't necessary to do in this case. (This
would be
useful with the Transfer to Existing Mailbox function, but not for the
easiest
case.)
So all you really need to do is TAB along to the Create Filter button & hit
the
SpaceBar. CTRL+W to close, Y to save changes.
Hope this is helpful,
Patrick
