The PC is internal, and the LT is external. On the utility disk, there is a
test.com...run that file from a DOS prompt and it will give the ROM number.
You'll need to put the screen reader to sleep when you do this or the test
utility won't find the DoubleTalk.
In JFW, use the Insert+J, then Alt+V to bring up the Voices menu. Within
each voice, (Global, Keyboard, PcCursor, JawsCursor, Message, etc.), Tab
down to "Person" and use Up/Down arrows to select the preferred voice. If
your card is several years old, a ROM upgrade may be needed to get the
different voices. It costs $35+- and can be installed by any set of
eyeballs you may have around at the time.
To get the chip upgrade, call Randy at RC Systems at 425-355-3800. You'll
need to give him some info from the card, or the current ROM version.
