here are some answers which I think might help.

you must use the start button, then you press r for run, then you type in
the path and filename where you have downloaded the new jfw beta, like
this.
if you have downloaded the file to the c:\updates directory you would type
c:\updates\jfw3313beta.exe and then you would push enter.
You will then hear the computer start to talk, something about winzip self
extractor, and you will be asked to choose two options, they are setup and
cancel.
at this stage, unload jfw from memory by pressing insert-f4, then press the
enter key to exit jaws.
hit the letter s and within about 10-15 seconds, jfw should start talking.

you get the new eloquence with the new beta version of jaws, there's no
need to worry about downloading the 5 meg file with the changed eloquence
files.

I know, that file is so large!
depending on your connection it should probably take about 1 and a half
hours or a little more or less, so it maybe an idea to download the file
overnight or when you know you'll be away from the computer for a while.
