Dip switch "8" is the only7 switch that needs to be on or in the down
position.
I had this problem when I had swichs "4" and "8" in the lowered position.
I was able to read only a few lines before it stopped talking.
I couldn't figure it out as I had some voice with DOS, but DOS or JFD didn't
work real well until I switched "4" off and changed the parity on the DOS
version of JAWS and things started to work much better than with both switch
truned on.
