Hi,

I can't give you an answer about the L&H True Voice, but I can tell you
that MS Speech seems to work okay. It's almost as snappy as the newest
Eloquence. I did notice a couple of things, though. First, altering the
voice rate and pitch in the Voices menu didn't produce an immediate change.
It took a few seconds for the changes to kick in. And, for you audiophiles,
watch out. Even though you may have "allow wave sounds with synthesizers"
checked, MS Speech isn't apt to give up its sound card resource as readily
as Eloquence will. As soon as you click on a .wav file or real audio link,
you'd better mash that control key instantly, or you won't hear the .wav or
Real Audio. You might even get an error stating that the hardware is
already in use. I've noticed this with Access32 also.
Cheers!
Tom
