If you have JFW 3.2 and the SMA, then the upgrade to JFW 3.3 is free.  The patch 
upgrades do not count against your SMA.  I 
don't really think it is a terrible deal, as long as the customer keeps up with all 
the upgrades.  As I already stated, it works sort of like 
a subscription.  What I do object to is the way H-J punishes its customers by charging 
more for the SMA if it is purchased after the 
fact.  I mean, they should know better.  They should know that vocational 
rehabilitation agencies do not purchase SMA's, and that 
many of their customers are otherwise unable to spend loads of money.  If the customer 
is going to have to dole out the cash for 
the SMA, at least don't punish them for that fact.  Just my $.02, as that is all it is 
ever worth anyhow.
