Dear sir.
In Europe and Latin America, there are many Jaws' users who need to use
English and use JAWS in their own languages. Thus they need accent marks and
foreign languages read correctly.
Like many bilingual Americans, I bought JAWS for its foreign language
support which is--to tell the truth--very very minimal. And after 3 patches
and one version which lacked that foreign language support promised users of
other languages, there is now a version 3.3 which appears to also lack
foreign language support.
If users of foreign languages have to get our concerns noticed to have
our legitimate concerns dealt with, then people should strongly consider
writing now to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or this will never get fixed until
2 patches later or something like that.
Seriously, no one can expect "perfect software" and I don't. But long
ago, we were told we would have good foreign languages support and ---when
you call HJ, you will hear on the recorded tape in the background--all about
that foreign language support "works in other languages".
So since you know users in Europe who want to have accent marks
read in Eloquence and not in Eloquence, one should consider making our
concerns known before the time allotted to "fixing the few bugs" elapses.
