Hi All, Spinner.com is a streaming music service which can be found at: http://www.spinner.com They offer a player that you can use to access the service without a web browser. The player isn't exactly speech friendly so as an experiment I created some JFW scripts to work with it. These scripts provide quick keyboard access to the preset channels one can create, plus the combo box that you can use to choose from the dozens of channels that are offered. In addition they give single keystroke access to the artist, song title, album title and time remaining of whatever song you are listening to. These scripts are very preliminary. They work on three machines where I've tried them but I can't guarantee they'll work out of the box for you. They are not very complex in that they simply move to assorted pixel locations and read what's present, click the mouse and sometimes both. If you are comfortable with getting pixel location with the Jaws cursor you can quickly adjust coordinates. In the next little bit I hope to expand on these scripts. I am sharing them now because if they work for you, the Spinner Plus player can be used with some degree of effectiveness. You can find these scripts at: http://www.teleport.com/~kford/spinner.zip Look for a file titled spinner.txt for key assignments within the archive. If you've never used Spinner.com, I wouldn't suggest getting these scripts just yet. If you get these scripts and have comments drop me a private note.
